For this walkshop we’ll be creating some long exposure photography at night around Portsmouth’s Clarence Pier, including exploring on the beach and by the hovercraft port. At various points we’ll be light painting too.
We’ll be going out in the evening so please bring warm and dry clothing. A tripod for your camera is also required and a remote trigger would also be handy, if not then please familiarise yourself with your timer shutter release on your camera. Due to the low light, this workshop is probably not so good for camera phones.
By the Hovertravel hovercraft port building. There are many different carparks a short walk away, including behind the pier, over the road from the pier and along the seafront. Buses stop at many different points around this area, please check timetables for routes and last bus times. Portsmouth & Southsea train station is about 20 minutes walk away.
About 95% of the walkshop is wheelchair accessible with paths and roads, although we will aim to go down on to the shingle beach, but the promenade is right next to this location.
