Dell Quay

Explore Dell Quay

Dell Quay, just 5 minutes drive from Chichester, and is a beautiful & historic hamlet right on the Fishbourne Channel of Chichester Harbour. We’ll be starting off on the quay before making our way on to the shore exploring the boats and the old pontoons and then on to the famous wooden hulk. We’ll then make our way up to the main slipway and then on to the old, derelict boathouse before walking on to the open fields with views out over the channel and its many different birds calling it home for the summer.

Expect to see a historic quayside, old boats, wide views of the channel, natural textures, boat buildings, wide shore views and much more.

Meet at:

At the gate on to the quay. There is parking by the Crown and Anchor pub as well as by the road leading in to Dell Quay. Nearest bus stop is on Birdham Road at the entrance of Dell Quay Road, about a 10 minute walk away. Chichester train station is about a 10 minute taxi trip away.

Notes:
