View of the Hayling Ferry from the Eastney Beach, with a rising tide and a cloudy sky

Eastney Harbour Entrance

Explore the entrance to Langstone Harbour from The Solent, from the Hayling Ferry departure pontoon and the many old boats on the shoreline, down to the open beaches and the concrete structures. Expect to see a busy harbour with many different types of boats, wonderful textures of old houseboats and shingle beach plus the concrete pier and wide open views of the Solent.

Meet at:

The entrance to the pontoon for the Hayling Island Ferry. Parking is available on the shoreline and there is a nearby bus stop for Fort Cumberland on Ferry Road (number 15 & 16).

Notes:

Sorry to say the walkshop is not very wheelchair friendly as the beach is loose shingle and we’ll be spending most of the time on it.
