We’ll be starting off the photography walkshop in historic Emsworth on the famous South Street that runs down past old fishing cottages to the shore of Chichester Harbour. We’ll explore the outer edge of the Mill Pond, looking over the wide views over the water and looking for interesting landmarks and sights. At Emsworth Sailing Club we’ll go out on to the shoreline before making our way back around the other side of the pond, exploring the boat yards, etc. along the way. We’ll end back at the Blue Bell Inn, a great spot for a drink or food after the walk.
Expect to see a busy small town, lots of boats and yachts, great landscape views, beach finds on the shoreline, textures on the boats in the yards and much more.
Outside the Blue Bell Inn. Parking is available in the main carpark behind the Blue Bell (pay & display), also on the road where available (limited duration). Do not park on the shoreline at the bottom of South Street as the tide may be on the way in. There is a main bus stop at the top of South Street at St. Peter’s Square. There is Emsworth train station about 5-10 minutes walk away.
This walk is about 90% wheelchair accessible, although we may go down on to a pontoon, which might be a little steep. The path around much of the route is solid. At two points we may move on to the shore, which may be wet and uneven.
