For this walkshop we’ll be creating some long exposure photography at night on Southsea Seafront, including exploring around Canoe Lake, along the beach, on the promenade and down to the pier, plus experimenting with light painting along the way.
We’ll be going out in the evening so please bring warm and dry clothing. A tripod for your camera is also required and a remote trigger would also be handy, if not then please familiarise yourself with your timer shutter release on your camera. Due to the low light this workshop is probably not so good for cameraphones.
Outside Cumberland House Natural History Museum by Canoe Lake, at the end of Festing Road. There is free parking along here from 6pm. There is a bus stop 30 seconds walk up Festing Road for routes 1 and 17. The nearest train station is Fratton which is about 20+ minutes walk away.
About 90% of the walkshop is wheelchair friendly with paths and roads, the last part may involve getting on to the beach.
Please bring a tripod and if you have one available a shutter release remote. This workshop is not really suitable for mobile phone cameras.
