35MM FILM at The Camber

With this special photography walkshop we will be shooting our photos with 35mm film. We will explore around Old Portsmouth’s The Camber, the historic heart of the city and still a busy marina and sea fishing port. We will be working from the basics of loading the film through to how to operate a manual or semi-automatic camera, manual focusing, using built in light meters, composition and much more.

Please bring a 35mm film camera and enough film for the 2 hour walkshop (recommend 3+ rolls, feel free to bring any brand, monochrome, etc. but please aim for 100-400iso film). Film can be purchased at local camera shops (such as London Camera Exchange) and online, including Amazon, eBay and photography websites. We can lend you a camera if you like but it is first come first served and please get in contact to book one. We have a range of SLRs and then rangefinder cameras. Please bring your own film to load in to the borrowed camera. You will need to develop your films yourself.
Expect to discover the joy of photography with 35mm film looking at the great views of the Camber, light reflecting off the water, fishing boats, rust and rope and much more.
