We’ll be starting off at the Rose Gardens in Southsea, looking at different focusing techniques before moving down to the beach huts trying out different composition styles. From here we move down on to the beautiful Southsea beach with views out over the Solent. We’ll concentrate on different ways of capturing new views of familiar places before making our way over to Canoe Lake (and the resident swans). We’ll try out some narrative techniques and maybe some wildlife photography before finishing the walkshop at the historic South Parade Pier.
Expect to see some of the best views of Southsea Seafront, with wintery trees, bright colours on the beach huts, striking textures, friendly(ish) swans, sea views, beach finds and much more.
At the seaside entrance to the Rose Gardens. Parking is available on the road or in a carpark 30 seconds away (pay & display). There is a bus stop 5 minutes from the Rose Gardens. Fratton train station is about 40 munites walk away.
