Smartphone Photography Workshop for Young People in Hampshire

4 x FREE Photo Walkshops for Young People with Staunton Country Park

We are excited to offer four FREE 2-hour photography walkshops for young people as part of Staunton Country Park‘s Kickstarter project, supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

The first two photo walkshops will be introductions to smartphone photography and then there are two that develop photography skills looking at creative techniques and new perspectives. Each photo walkshop can have up to 10 participants. If the young person is under 12 they need to be accompanied by an adult.

These photo walkshops are for young people up to the age of 18 and under in the Havant and local area (e.g. from Portsmouth to Emsworth and north to Petersfield).

Participants will explore the park on a guided photography walk with a professional photographer, along the way learning a variety of creative and innovative skills & techniques. Helpful hints and tips will also be provided on how to edit your photos and sharing online on social media such as Instagram.

Staunton Country Park is the free entry parkland to the north of the well-known ornamental farm, petting zoo, and glasshouses. We will be starting at the main gate and exploring the parkland down to the remains of the old mansion house. These remains include old archways and stairs and views out to the lake further down the valley. We’ll discover the old shell house before making our way down to the water and forest before using the arched bridge out onto the island.
